Crisis Intervention
With so many returning soldiers suffering from PTSD, we are experiencing an unprecedented rate of severe crisis back at home. In the Crisis Intervention section, an individual or family member can find every emergency and crisis service, program and agency in his local area with one click. The Suicide Prevention Lifeline especially designated for veterans is prominently displayed at the top of our Crisis Intervention section.
Housing
Homelessness is becoming a huge issue, with significant percentages of the homeless populations in nearly every American city made up of our returning soldiers. In the Housing section, we list every housing and emergency shelter program available to veterans, service members and their families in their local area.
Employment
When soldiers come home, it is often even harder for them to find work because of the time they missed while serving their country and the worsening job market here at home. In the Employment section, we have assembled every program, agency and service that can assist in finding work. Additionally, we have partnered with VetJobs to quickly locate jobs specifically designated for veterans by category in their own local areas.
Key Points of Contact
Many excellent programs funded by the Veterans Administration and the Department of Defense serve veterans, service members and their families. Many veterans, however, simply do not know these programs exist or how to make contact. In the Key Points of Contact section, we list every program by category for both veterans and service members, along with key contact information to make it much easier to reach and take advantage of these services.
